Ch Tonup The Rains Came

Georgia was a beautiful red and white bitch that I saw in Melbourne when she was 7 months old. I was in Melbourne in 1993 for the Victorian Boxer Club Championship Show which was to be judge by Daphne North of Carinya Boxers UK. Sue Res and I had made the journey from Perth for a few days of Boxer Activities which I must say, absolutely entrenched by love for this incredible breed. Secretly I had been hoping that “something” might be available to purchase and become a part of our family and I wasn’t disappointed. Thanks to Sue and her few quiet words to Elaine Davies of Tonup Boxers, “Georgia” Tonup The Rains Came , was to become a huge part of Brodelle Boxers.
Georgia was a natural in the show ring…she just loved to show. She was a girl that said “Hey can you see me?” We hit the ground running on her arrival and only when she was in the whelping box was she out of the ‘CC’s’.
Georgias’ title came quickly and she was awarded the challenges under International judges such as Dr R Bernat (USA), Mr L Davis (USA), Mrs K Steele (SINGAPORE), Mr J Bennett (USA), Mr N Radhakrishnan (INDIA), Mr J Lankenau (STH AFRICA), Mr R Glendinning (CAN), Mr R Dawson (PHILLIPINES), Mr Bruyne (CAN), Mrs L Dimitroff (USA), Mr G Heitzman (USA) and also notable Australian Boxer breeders;Mr M Hollobone (SA), Mr D Strachan (NSW), Mrs M Carter (SA) and Mrs L Harris (SA). Many local judges also appreciated Georgias’ qualities, which proved she could win anywhere.
Georgia’s first litter was to one of my all time favourite dogs, Ch Eischied Riot Down Under (Imp NZ) (Rommel). Out of this litter came our first homebred champion, Ch Brodelle Double Dazzler (Annie). She was owned by Vickie Shaw who has since become Vickie Clements and my partner in Brodelle Boxers! Her litter sister Brodelle Double Delight (Jade) was mated to Ch Residin High Flyer (Jake), bred by Sue Res and both these bitches have had a major influence on the lines we have today at Brodelle Boxers.
